About the Program

The Tennessee State University Pilot Center for Academic Excellence in Intelligence Studies (PCAEIS) was established in October 2005 with an initial grant from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) as one of four pilot U.S. Intelligence Community Centers of Academic Excellence. The other centers are located at Clark Atlanta University, Florida International University, and Trinity University. In addition to the four original institutions, grants have been awarded to California State University, Norfolk State University, University of Texas at El Paso, University of Texas Pan American, University of Washington, and Wayne State University.

The stylized logo reflects the symbolic symbyotic relationship between the IC community and TSU.  The stylized IC Crystal focuses its intense light on our the TSU seal.  TSU in turn, reflects intense light back through the crystal
