Welcome to the Department of Communications!

Each week check back here for a new exciting webcast!!!!

In this world of instant communications it is important to have a hands-on experience with the equipment and processes used in today's companies. The Department of Comunications features award-winning faculty and the latest equipment which includes a new theatre and a digital television studio with multiple editing facilities. This year we are beginning construction on our new radio broadcasting facility to be located in the Performing Arts Building.

Many of our students are accepted as interns at local and national media and theater companies. Guest speakers come to campus to speak to students and to share their experiences with future media practitioners.  The Department of Communications offers programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Science degrees. Students can study mass communication, theatre, and speech communication. Within these areas students may compete with the Forensics team, participate in a theatrical production as either technicians or actors, report/anchor/produce for TSU TV News, be a part of the team for WTST radio or The Meter (TSUs online and published newspaper) and much more.
