Department of Music Summer Keyboard Institute Presents Featured Artist Jeni Slotchiver Friday, June 12, 2009, 7:00 PM Free Concert in the Tennessee State University Performing Arts Center Recital Hall Reception to follow in the Rotunda Tennessee State University is proud to present internationally acclaimed pianist Jeni Slotchiver in a free concert inaugurating their Summer Keyboard Institute. One of the world's leading authorities on the work of composer Ferruccio Busoni, Ms. Slotchiver is also a champion of twentieth century American and Latin American music. Her upcoming performance of compositions by; J. S. Bach, Astor Piazzolla, Heitor Villa-Lobos, and Frederic Rzewski transcends and combines traditional classical music, Latin American popular rhythms, Tango, and avant-garde Jazz improvisations.
