mission to promote the health and well-being of consumers statewide,
nationwide and worldwide through multi-faceted food safety and nutrition
research and outreach.

Team
Overview
The health and well-being
of Americans is necessary for a secure, productive nation. Good dietary
practices, adequate food distribution, and a safe food supply are
essential components in the development of human potential. Knowledge of
what people eat and how they manage their food, especially how they
store perishable and ready to eat foods to keep them safe, are key areas
in which the Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Research's Food Safety,
Nutrition, and Family Well-Being Research Team are focusing their
efforts. The team has developed tools that currently are being used in
national dietary studies and have established collaborative projects
with many government agencies and other private and public entities.
