College of Education

Welcome to the College of Education.  The College of Education (COE) is committed to excellence in teaching and advising, research, and public service. We offer educational programs for educators and teachers, K-12 administrators, principals and post baccalaureate students in education and psychology.

The College offers degree programs and instruction through four academic departments: Educational Administration (EDAD), Human Performance and Sport Sciences (HPSS), Psychology (PSYC.), and Teaching and Learning (T&L).  The College seeks to maintain excellence in all programs.  The teacher education program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).  The Ph.D. program in Counseling Psychology is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).  The Educational Administration program is approved by the University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA).

The College of Education has highly qualified faculty, supportive staff, excellent teaching and learning facilities, and strong academic quality assurance.  Indeed, the college is fully prepared to assist students in achieving their academic and professional goals.  We serve a diverse population of students and are committed to providing educational opportunities to all qualified individuals without regard to age, sex, color, race, religion, national origin, disability or other non-merit reasons.
