BioRecent Awards and Publications Dr. Arie Halachmi has been recently selected as the recipient of the 2010 Paul P. Van Riper Award for Excellence and Service from the American Society for Public Administrators (ASPA). This award pays tribute to an ASPA member who has made significant contributions to both the academic and practitioner communities of public administration. Dr. Arie Halachmi holds the rank of Professor at Tennessee State University (USA) and Research Professor at the Center for Public Administration Research at Sun Yat-sen University (China). From 1995 to 2001 he was a Fellow of the Dutch Institute of Government and a Visiting Professor at the University of Twente (NL). He is a pracademician (a practitioner who became an academician) with a rich track record of publications on public sector performance, program evaluation and policy analysis. Dr. Arie Halachmi earned his doctoral degree in Policy Sciences with Distinction in 1972. He is the author of more than fifteen academic books, hundreds of chapters and scholarly articles. He served as a consultant to public and not for profit agencies at all levels of government in the USA and more than twenty other countries in Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. His work and academic achievements have earned him many awards and accolades in the USA and abroad. |
