Biographical Sketch  
Dr. Koku obtained his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. degree in Systems and Control Engineering from the Bogazici University, Istanbul Turkey in 1994 and 1997 respectively. He completed his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at Vanderbilt University, TN, USA in 2003. His research interests focus mainly on robotics and mechatronics. Since 2003 he has been a full time faculty at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Middle East Technical University in Turkey. He is currently a visiting researcher at the College of Engineering of Tennessee State University.
