Dr. Festus Olorunniwo is a Professor of Operations Management and Head of
Department of Business Administration. He obtained his Doctorate degree in
Management Science (Operations Research) from The University of Texas at
Austin (1981), his M.S. (Industrial Engineering) from Polytechnic
University, N.Y. (1978), and his B.S from University of Lagos (1972). Dr.
Olorunniwo has taught and conducted research at the university level for
over 21 years. He is the founding Chair of the Department of Industrial
Engineering at the University of Ibadan, where he spearheaded the
establishment of degree programs up to the doctoral level. He has organized
and delivered several training programs and workshops for managers in
manufacturing and service organizations in USA, Singapore, and Nigeria. |

Dr. Olorunniwo's research interests are in the operations management area,
including production and productivity improvement in manufacturing and
service operations; design, audit, and management of quality systems; and
supply chain management. Dr. Olorunniwo has published over 50 research
articles in refereed journals and proceedings. The journals include
International Journal of Production Economics, Production & Inventory
Management Journal, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of
Operations Management, Journal of Quality Technology, Journal of Engineering
Optimization, Reliability Engineering and System Safety, and the
International Journal of Reliability and Quality Management. Dr. Olorunniwo
serves as a reviewer for the International Journal of Production Research
and Journal of Business and Economic Perspectives.
