A message from the department head, Dr. Olorunniwo

Welcome to the Department of Business Administration’s Website! We provide the information on this website as a service to prospective students, existing students, faculty, alumni, the business community, potential employers, and anyone seeking to learn more about our department.

The Department of Business Administration, by integrating instructional technology in the classroom, offers practical, innovative, and versatile undergraduate programs, which expose students to current information concerning the study and practice of business. Our curriculum in business administration provides students with general education requirements, core requirements in the various disciplines of business, and strong background to allow students to choose from a number of concentrations and tracks.

Accredited by AACSB-International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the College of Business at Tennessee State University has four undergraduate degree programs, including the one in the Department of Business Administration. The MBA program in the College of Business is also accredited by AACSB-International.

We have a diverse and experienced faculty who constantly seek to infuse practice into the classroom, using the most contemporary instructional and information technology. Our faculty conduct meaningful applied research that are published in reputable learned journals, internationally.

With such a versatile program, opportunities are provided for students to choose one of several concentrations. Depending on the concentration chosen, students have the opportunity to prepare themselves for exciting careers in some of the career areas listed below:
