The RIMI Program, formerly supported by the National Center for Research Resources (NCCR) and and currently administered by The National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NCMHD), focuses on building research capacity in predominantly minority-serving academic institutions that offer one or more baccalaureate and/or master's degrees in the sciences related to health.  The program seeks to facilitate the integration of teaching and research with the ultimate aims of: 1) developing sustainable research programs and 2) enhancing the quality of the educational experience for the students in the life sciences and related areas.
