Bio: Ms. Shelton's practice experience in healthcare delivery started as a staff nurse in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Labor and Delivery. She worked in the Intensive Care Unit and Post Anesthesia Care Unit as the Educational Facilitator where her interest in Quality Improvement began. She has been a Quality Manager for the State of Tennessee at a major insurance company. The field of science has always fascinated her, and she transitioned back into nursing as a Public Health Consultant and nursing education. Ms. Shelton is interested in active learning strategies and best practices in teaching.
