What we offer!
- Men’s Empowerment Zone, located on the first floor of Boyd Residence Hall will be a “one stop shop” providing student requested supports. This will be a space designated for men created by the men of TSU.
- Comprehensive Mentoring will utilize the National Partnership for Community Leadership Rites of Passage Curriculum in order to provide a framework for developing skills necessary for the Men’s Initiative participants to be successful in taking on their responsibilities as men in our society.
- Success Coaching will provide students with an opportunity to meet one on one with a success coach who will help the student construct and execute a plan to achieve their short-term, intermediate, and long-term goals.
- Character and Leadership Development will inspire our future leaders by promoting courage, commitment, integrity, honesty, service and gratitude to name a few to provide lasting value to our communities.
- Power Hour provides our male scholars with the opportunity to independently or receive academic work from our Success Coaches. We aim to provide formal academic enrichment in an informal setting.
- Get L.I.T. ( Learning, Inspiring, Teaching) Book Club is a strategic initiative that encourages an appreciation for literature by introducing students to readings relevant to the black male experience while teaching them to think critically in hopes that the exchange of words, ideas, and stories will foster consciousness conducive to their development as scholars.
- Graduation Acceleration Program (G.A.P) is a skills training and enrichment program that helps students develop pro-social behaviors and leadership skills by engaging them in critical dialogue, enrichment exercises, and experiential learning focused on academic achievement, career exploration, financial wellbeing and social-cultural mentorship.
- The Study Abroad Ghana in Cultural Foundations Program, will deepen your knowledge and cultural connections to the heritage and people of Ghana while developing "response ability" as an informed, global and culturally responsive scholar or researcher.

Tied To Success commences each fall with the presentation of TSU blue ties to first year male students and serves as a rite of passage into the Tiger Family. Not only do we welcome students into the Big Blue Brotherhood but we help to prepare them for success throughout their time at TSU through networking events, seminars, and other special events.
