Associate General Counsel

Alison Letcher serves as the Associate General Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel. In her role as Associate General Counsel, Ms. Letcher provides legal advice and services to administrators and other authorized members of the University community in representation of the University. Ms. Letcher advises on numerous legal issues, with a primary focus on contracts, intellectual property, real estate, student disciplinary matters, disability accommodations, open records, and data privacy matters.
Prior to joining TSU, Ms. Letcher served as an attorney for Belmont University for over ten years. Ms. Letcher is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys and the Tennessee Intellectual Property Association, and is a registered U.S. Patent Attorney. Ms. Letcher received undergraduate degrees in Engineering Physics and Music Business from Belmont University and a Juris Doctorate with a Certificate in Intellectual Property from Whittier Law School. |
