Clean Energy Education Camp at TSU
(rising 10th-12th high school students)

The Clean Energy Education Camp is a summer two-week hybrid academic enrichment program that i lluminat es Clean Energy Education for High School Students in the Nashville Metro Areas and surrounding areas . This program aims to motivate high school students to acquire basic knowledge of clean energy, including 1) bioenergy, 2) buildings, 3) geothermal, 4) hydrogen and fuel cells, 5) industrial efficiency and decarbonization, 6) advanced materials and manufacturing, 7) solar, 8) vehicles, 9) water, and 10) wind. The summer camp provides an opportunity for high school students to acquire knowledge about various clean energy technologies . Understanding these technologies fosters a sense of technological literacy and prepares students for potential careers in the clean energy sector.

Eligibility:  Rising 10th-12th high school students.

NOTE: INCOMPLETE APPLICATION PACKETS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED

Application Requirements:

  • Complete online application
  • Upload Official high school transcript
  • Official ACT/SAT/PSAT scores if available
  • One letter of recommendation from a school counselor, or a teacher who taught the applicant before
  • Proof of accident/health insurance, and
  • One page of the application statement describing their understanding of clean energy, and the reason(s) for application
