Our professional residence staff guides you in developing high standards of conduct, scholarship, and social skills, as well as the capacity to live harmoniously with others. You can also volunteer with the Office of Residence Life to serve the TSU living-learning community.

HEALTH

Student Health Services is maintained to safeguard the health of students. Clinics are held by a physician who: health service

  • examines
  • administers 
  • prescribes treatment and medication.

Students suffering from complex medical/surgical problems are hospitalized at local hospitals of their choice (at their own expense). The university accept no responsibility for any student requiring hospitalization. Therefore, students are strongly encouraged to enroll in the Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan. The enrollment information is located in the Student Health Center and Student Affairs (Room #308).

Get involved with intramural sports and recreation programs at Tennessee State University.Work out at the Ralph H. Boston Wellness Center. ART GALLERIESArt Gallery

Traditional and non-traditional mediums are represented, as well as selected exhibitions that include items from the permanent Witt and Edwards collections of African art.

Annually, student and faculty exhibitions are installed in the gallery, serving as a hands-on training ground for students hoping to pursue art and arts administration.

LIFE IN NASHVILLE

Each September, the TSU campus comes alive with the African Street Nashville Festival that celebrates the sounds of the continent. The event is free to the entire Nashville community and features daily stage shows with poetry, rap, reggae, blues, jazz, gospel, R&B, and drama, as well as vendors from around the nation offering everything African.
