Employee/Student - Parking and Permit Information
Register Vehicle / Obtain Permit
Students, faculty, staff and visitors who park a vehicle on campus must register their vehicle with Parking Services and display a parking permit. Any vehicle without proper registration or not displaying a current permit is subject to receiving a citation. The parking permit must be properly displayed and clearly visible from the front rear view mirror of the vehicle.
Register my vehicle/Obtain permit
When prompted, login to myTSU system using TSU network login & choose "Banner Services" and then "TSU Parking System"
Pickup Permit
After registering your vehicle(s) online, please bring the following documents with you to pick up your parking permit from the Parking Services office or designated location (noted below) during Fall and Spring registration periods.
General or Reserved Permits

- Valid Driver’s License/TSU ID Card
- Vehicle Registration/Renewal Form
- Current Proof of Insurance
- Paid Receipt (for employees)
University-issued Disability Permit (For persons with valid state-issued disability placards)

Permit Rates
Parking permits are valid from September 1 to August 31 of the following year. Parking permits for the new academic year are available for sale during the last week in August. The cost of one parking permit for students is included in tuition fees. Employee parking permit is $60.00 for general permits, $150.00 for reserved permits and $180.00 for gated reserved permits. Note: Reserved and gated parking spaces are limited. Please contact the Parking Services office for availability of reserved or gated parking spaces and if desired, to be added to the waitlist.
Disabled Parking Permits and Parking
The University requires all students, faculty or staff who have a state-issued disability permit to obtain a Tennessee State University-issued disability parking permit. Both permits must be properly displayed when parking on campus.
Students, faculty and staff applying for a disability parking permit must bring a their actual disability placard, disability permit registration form, vehicle registration form and driver's license when picking up your University-issued disability parking permit.
Event Parking
Hale Stadium parking lots may be preempted for events, especially home Football, special events and Commencement.

Signs will be posted at the entrance to the affected parking lots at least 1 day in advance, with the date(s) of the restriction. Vehicles will be ticketed, and may be towed, if they remain in the parking lot after the posted restriction begins.

Parking News
Student Decal Placement
Student decals must be permanently affixed to the inside front windshield in the lower left corner (driver's side), 6 to 12 inches from the dashboard to be valid. It must be visible and cannot be obstructed. Failure to permanently affixed the decal to the windshield will result in the vehicle receiving a citation for failure to display permit. Using tape or any temporary adhesive is not permitted.

Payment can be made online at the link above or at the Cashier's Office, located on the 1st floor in the McWherter Building.

Personal checks, money orders and cashiers checks only. DO NOT MAIL CASH.
The citation number, located in the top right corner of the ticket, must be printed on the check/money order or the ticket must be included with payment.
APPEAL YOUR CITATION
Appeals must be filed within 10 days from date listed on the citation. Appeals must be filed online by clicking on the link above. If you have questions, please call the Parking Services Office at (615) 963-1482 .
Failure to pay your citation or appeal your citation in a timely manner will result in a hold being placed on your account, which will result in your inability to register, receive, transcripts or graduate until the citation is paid.
All vehicles parked on campus must have a campus parking permit and must comply with the state registration requirements. Parking permits must be obtained at the Parking Services Office.
NOTICE: REPEAT OFFENSES DOUBLE THE FINE.
