Mission

Our mission is to create a lifetime connection between the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Sciences alumni, the University, and the School; to further the development of the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Sciences at Tennessee State University; and to promote communication and cooperation among alumni of the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Sciences. As a graduate of the University you automatically become a member of the Alumni Organization.

Vision

The College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Sciences Alumni Organization is the premier organization providing enhancement opportunities for advancement in education associated With agriculture and consumer sciences and their related programs

Purpose

The purpose of the Agriculture and Consumer Sciences Alumni Organization at Tennessee State University is to promote the general welfare and development of the University and to provide support to all programs within the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Sciences.

Fulfillment of this purpose shall be pursued through:

  • Developing a closer fellowship and association among alumni Students, faculty, staff and friends of the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Sciences.
  • Assisting with recruitment of well-qualified students and the placement of graduates.
  • Encouraging interest in and support for scholarships, fellowships, innovative teaching, research. Extension programs and other activities.
  • Encouraging activities that promote the importance of the professions in agriculture and consumer sciences and recognizing persons and organizations with meritorious service in these professions. Promoting events and other activities for Agriculture and Consumer Sciences alumni.
  • Serving as a liaison between the Tennessee State University National Alumni Association and the Agriculture and Consumer Sciences Alumni Organization.
