We’re excited to introduce Wilson Hall as TSU’s official First-Year Experience (FYE) residence hall , beginning Fall 2025! Designed with first-year student success in mind, Wilson Hall now offers a vibrant, co-ed living-learning environment that fosters connection, support, and personal growth from day one.
A Supportive Community for First-Year Students
Wilson Hall is now home to our First-Year Experience program , intentionally created to ease the transition to college life. By housing first-year students together in a dedicated community, we’re providing access to the resources and relationships that matter most for academic and personal success.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Co-Ed Living with Privacy and Security: Wilson Hall will be co-ed by building, with gender-separated floors to ensure privacy, safety, and comfort for all residents.
- Live-In Support: Each floor will have professional live-in staff of the same gender to provide personalized support, mentorship, and community guidance.
- Academic and Personal Resources Where You Live: From on-site tutoring and mentoring to wellness programs and community workshops, residents benefit from convenient access to TSU’s full range of student services—right at their doorstep.
- Peer Connection and Belonging: Living among fellow first-year students encourages shared experiences, peer support, and strong social connections that lay the foundation for a successful college journey.
Wilson Hall features some of the most spacious rooms on campus, each equipped with:
- 2 Twin XL beds
- 2 Wardrobes
- 2 Desks
- 2 Dressers
- 2 Chest-of Drawers
- In-room sink and vanity
- Community-style restrooms.
Upperclassmen also call Wilson home, creating a unique opportunity for mentorship and encouragement from peers who’ve walked the same path.
