Research Assistant Professor Positions in Cyber Security

The Cyber Security Laboratory at Tennessee State University (TSU) invites applications for four research positions in the areas of systems research in security of cloud computing platforms, mobile devices and critical infrastructures. The initial appointment will be for one year, with extensions subject to negotiation. The applicants will work closely with Dr. Sachin Shetty and his research team throughout the duration of the employment at TSU in one or more of the following active projects including:


• Moving Target Defense in Cloud Data Centers
• Real time and scalable detection of malware from mobile streams in cloud computing platforms
• Dependable software for critical infrastructures
• Software Defined Networking for Smart Grid

The responsibilities of the position also include, but are not limited to:

• Participation in external funded research projects
• Acquisition of new research projects and funding
• Leading a group of highly motivated Ph.D. students

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who is highly motivated to conduct top research, participate in teaching duties, and lead a group of graduate students. The technical requirements are:


• A Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or a closely-related field.
• A track record in highly competitive scientific research and publishing at conferences and scientific journals with global impact in the fields

The positions are available immediately. The selection process will begin upon receipt of the applications.
