Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology services are provided through the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at Tennessee State University.
Both the Speech Language Clinic and the Audiology Testing and Research Clinic are located on the Avon Williams Campus (Downtown

Speech and language therapy sessions are scheduled by appointment on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 9 A.M. and 5 P.M. Therapy sessions are scheduled on the hour. Speech and language diagnostic sessions and audiological assessments are by appointment only.
PAYMENT FOR SERVICES
Diagnostic and therapy services are $65 per semester. Actual Fees are assessed on a sliding scale based on family size and gross monthly income. Stipends are available for clients who are unable to pay, but do not meet income guidelines for reduced fees. State employees, faculty students, and their immediate families are eligible for services at no cost regardless of income level.
CLINICIANS
All clients are seen by graduate students and advanced level undergraduate students in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology. All screenings, diagnostics, and therapy sessions are directly supervised by speech-language pathologists and audiologists, certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
