The Tennessee New Farmer Academy
The Tennessee New Farmer Academy is a seven-month certificate program designed for those with an interest in becoming agricultural entrepreneurs. Extending University Educational Outreach to Tennessee Communities
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Extension Disaster Recovery Education Information and Resources
At the end of September, Hurricane Helene brought extreme rain and flooding that have left hundreds of people dead and caused billions of dollars in damage. During those difficult times, our communities look for resources to help them recover from losses they experience. Land-grant universities like Tennessee State are a major player in providing research-based educational information to solve those problems and get the information they need, when they need, to secure resources and solve their problems or meet their needs.
Visit website: Extension Disaster Recovery Educational Information and Resources>>
To address this need, TSU College of Agriculture’s TSU Cooperative Extension Program is working on putting together a web page link on the College/Extension webpage called “Extension Disaster Recovery Educational Information and Resources.” This webpage will serve as a clearinghouse of information available from our faculty and other state and national resources. Our colleague, Charles Morrison, will be helping Dr. Jason de Koff and me with this website development. In addition, Mr. Finis Stribling and Ms. Rita Fleming are our TSU Extension liaisons to USDA, Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN).
