____Minimum o 42 hours must be 3000 and 4000 level courses (plan above gives you at least 46)____ Minimum of 24 semester hours for major and 21 major hours at 3000 and 4000 level____Senior Project or Seminar (student teaching for certificate students)____25% of courses in residence____Last 30 hours in residence____ No courses at TSU and another institution simultaneously____No more than 21 hours per semester____Must apply to upper division status through the department____ Must apply and be admitted to Teacher Education by 2nd semester, Sophomore year____2.75 gpa____pass PPST or CBT or exempt with at least a 21 on the ACT, 22 on the Enhanced ACT, or a combined 990 on the verbal and mathematics portions of the SAT____complete a criminal background check____complete rising jr. exam ____ Must complete Senior Exit Exam____ Admission to Student Teaching/Clinical Practice: ____Pass Praxis II, ____maintained a 2.75____“C” or better grade in each of the prescribed prerequisite professional education courses and all courses in the Agricultural Education courses_____Apply to student teaching/clinical practice in the first semester of the senior year; ____Complete a structured interview that includes evidence of adequate technology skills____Submit an electronic portfolio____Physician certification that the candidate is free from any communicable diseases (Tuberculosis); ____Supply evidence of professional liability insurance____Receive a positive recommendation from the Interview Team____Earn B or better in student teaching/clinical practice____Positive exit interview____Positive review of e-portfolio
