The Office of Media Relations has one professional photographer on staff to offer the following services:

  1. Portraits and studio photos (General Services Building, Room 138)
  2. Photo shoots for marketing materials
  3. Campus landscapes
  4. Event photography (See "Photo Shoots of Events")
  5. Journalism photo documentation

Photo Shoots of Events

Photo shoots of TSU events can be requested by submitting the request form below. The Department of Media Relations will organize photo shoots based on priority and the availability of the staff photographer.

Time constraints may prevent some requests from being fulfilled. Events not scheduled at least two weeks in advance or conflicts with other scheduled events may not be covered.

Request Images &
Stock Images

Electronic images will be provided upon request; however, further photo finishing services (i.e. printing, matting, framing, etc.) are not offered by this office.

TSU Photographic Services maintains a stock image account. Simply complete  the  Request Form at the bottom of this web page, mentioning what type of image you need. Please allow 5-7 business days  for your request to be processed and your image(s) to be delivered.

We will research, retouch and provide the image(s) via email or on a CD. Please allow 5-7 business days for your request to be processed and your image(s) to be delivered.

CHANGE IPHONE SETTINGS

  1. Open your iPhone's Settings. . You'll usually find this app on the home screen.
  2. Scroll down and tap Camera. It's toward the bottom of the menu.
  3. Tap Record Video. A list of resolution options will appear.
  4. Select a higher resolution. The options will vary by phone or tablet. The higher the number, the better the quality.

Photographic Consent and Release Form

The client has first rights to images created for assignments and Creative Services will refrain from distributing images from assignment shoots until that specific project is complete. All imagery from photography assignments are integrated into the Creative Services library of stock images. Tennessee State University maintains full copyright control of photos, including rights to any images taken during assignment shoots. Images may not be copied, reproduced or used without permission by the University Creative Services Department.

When provided with an image from Creative Services, you are given rights to the use of the image for an agreed upon purpose. No copyright permission is transferred and permission is not implied for future use.

You may not sell or distribute images provided by Creative Services or use the image in any way that could be considered defamatory, libelous, obscene, immoral, or fraudulent to Tennessee State University.
