Donella Marsh, (2003-2006) Assistant Director  Donella Marsh is a native of South Bend, IN. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Ball State University and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology and Student Personnel Services with counseling certification from Eastern New Mexico University. Ms. Marsh was named Assistant Director of the Office of International Business Programs (OIBP) at Tennessee State University (TSU) in April 2003. Prior to joining TSU, she served as Administrative Coordinator for Junior Achievement of Georgia, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia. Junior Achievement is a world class, fastest-growing non-profit provider of business and economic education. As administrative coordinator in the Atlanta regional office, Ms. Marsh provided administrative support to the Education, Executive, and Development departments. Additionally, she assisted with human resource responsibilities for JA personnel in Augusta, Atlanta, Dalton, Gainesville, and Savannah, Georgia. Ms. Marsh is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). She completed the NACE Management and Leadership Institute training in July 2004 in Adelphi, Maryland. Susan Crossley (1999-2002), Assistant Director Janeth Simpson Brown (1999), Assistant Director Ms. Janeth Brown joined OIBP as its first Assistant Director in April 1999. Originally from Jamaica, Ms. Brown held an M.A. in International Trade from Eastern Michigan University and had already had some nine years of experience in international business, language instruction and university administration when she came to TSU. For example, she had worked with JAMPRO (Jamaica Promotions Corporation) as an Investment Promotion and then Senior Promotion Officer. Ms. Brown had a lively personality and enjoyed counseling students. She tackled the job of setting up student and company files with enthusiasm. Unfortunately for OIBP, Ms. Brown resigned before the end of the calendar year to start a family. She resides in Thompson Station, Tennessee, with her husband who is a senior manager with Saturn. Ms. Brown continues her passionate commitment to helping young Jamaican students pursue their education. Martha Cowan (1999), Secretary Ms. Cowan was serving as Secretary to Dr. Ruthie Reynolds, the Frist Chair of Excellence in Business, when OIBP was first established. For a few months she served as part-time secretary to OIBP before going to work full time for the Frist Chair where works today. Stephanie Machen (2000), Secretary Ms. Machen, was an undergraduate student in the College of Business
when she was employed to work as secretary in OIBP in the spring
of 2000. She graduated the next semester and OIBP then chose not
to continue the secretary position. From then the position was replaced
by a second graduate assistant. Chutney Walton - Graduate Assistant (2006)
Chutney Walton is a native of Perry, Georgia. She received her Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia. Chutney is currently working toward her Masters of Business Administration here at Tennessee State University. She has management experience as a Corporate Coordinator for MGM MIRAGE Corporation in Las Vegas, Nevada and as an Assistant Manager at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Chutney's responsibilities as a Graduate Assistant in OIBP included managing grant expenditures for the Title III grant and other international initiatives. Chutney was also involved in organizing promotional materials for activities sponsored by the office, including the Windows onto the World lecture series, a monthly event that highlights and promotes cultural awareness throughout the campus community. Anis Mnif (2002-2004), Graduate Assistant Anis Mnif joined OIBP as a graduate assistant in August 2002, the third Tunisian student to work here. He received his Bachelor degree in Management with concentration in Human Resources at the Institut Superieur de Gestion in Tunis. Before coming to the U.S. to pursue graduate studies he worked three years for Nestle as sales manager in the Marketing Department. August 2002 he came to TSU to pursue an MBA degree in which he will be graduating 2004. Since joining OIBP he has been involved in maintaining the accounting records and managing funds for grant expenditures for projects in Malawi and Ukraine as well as the Business and International Education and Title III grants. He is also responsible for creating and organizing promotional materials for activities sponsored by the office. In June 2003, Anis traveled to Tunis to accompany Dr. Hull in developing a proposal for funding a linkage with the University of Tunis. He made also the logistics arrangements and helped with putting together the proposal. He also assists in planning and implementation of events such as Windows into the World and the Multicultural Festival. Drawing upon his advanced computer application skills, Anis will be responsible for maintaining and updating the OIBP web site. Arabic and French are his mother tongues and Anis is developing fluency in English as well. He anticipates completing his MBA degree in the spring of 2004. 
Jackie Ojuka-Onedo, (2001-2003). Originally from Uganda, Jackie spent much of her school days in Papua New Guinea where her father was employed in the mining industry. She joined OIBP in the summer of 2001 and remained for a full two years until the summer of 2003. She won the World Trade Council Scholarship in 2001 and was very active in the Multicultural Friendship Society, maintaining MCFS files and providing a point of contact for the organization's activities. Jackie received her MBA degree in May 2003.
Mehdi Saidi (2001-2003). Mehdi completed
a Bachelor's degree in Management Sciences from the Faculty of Management
Science and Economics at the University Tunis in Tunisia in 1998.
He subsequently studied English in San Diego before enrolling in
the MBA program at TSU. In the fall semester of 2001 Mehdi began
to work as graduate assistant to Dr. Wahid in the management of
the new Journal of Developing Areas. After completing his MBA degree
in December 2002, he was hired as a Research Assistant in OIBP in
the spring of 2003 where he assisted students for a semester in
the absence of an Assistant Director. Anne Muchine (2000-2001). Originally from Kenya, Anne received her Bachelor of Commerce degree from Daystar University in Nairobi in 1998. She entered the MBA program at TSU in 1999. In the fall 2000 semester she began work as a graduate assistant in OIBP where she remained until completing her MBA in the summer of 2001. Since then Anne has been gainfully employed by an agency in Brentwood. Amalia Rosari (2001). Amalia received a Bachelor of Economics degree from Trisakti University in Jakarta, Indonesia, in 1996. She subsequently earned a certificate in management from Central Queensland University in Australia. She and her husband both entered the MBA program at TSU. Amalia began her MBA studies in 1999 and was nearing completion of her degree when she came to work as a graduate assistant in OIBP for one semester in the spring of 2001. After graduating Amalia and her husband returned to Indonesia. Sunita Khetpal (2000). Sunita is originally from Pakistan where she completed her undergraduate studies. She worked as a graduate assistant in OIBP for only two months in the summer of 2000. Qi Deng (2000). Qi received her Bachelor
of Economics with a major in Finance in 1991 and began work on an
MBA at Jiangxi University in Nanchang, China, before coming to the
U.S. She entered TSU in August 1998 and initially worked as a graduate
assistant in the School of Agriculture. Qi joined OIBP as a graduate
assistant in the spring of 2000, in time to assist in developing
the first OIBP website and working on a proposal for a university
linkage in Ukraine. Upon graduation from TSU, she went to work for
Deutsche Bank in Nashville. Ana Chalco Church (1999). Ms. Chalco was already a graduate assistant working for Dr. John Masten at the time the OIBP office was established in the spring of 1999. Originally from Peru, Ms. Chalco, received her undergraduate degree from David Lipscomb University and her MBA degree from TSU in May 1999. She is married to an American and works in the Nashville area.

Ms.
Susan Crossley was recruited to replace Ms. Brown in the fall of
1999, joining OIBP in November. Her tenure at TSU would extend over
a three-year period. She earned an M.A. degree in Community and
Clinical Psychology from Temple University and had over 20 years
of experience in the field of guidance and counseling at the time
she joined OIBP. Ms. Crossley was especially adept at counseling
students and developing rapport with corporations and agencies in
order to place students as interns or in permanent jobs. She was
outgoing and dedicated to the welfare of TSU students. On several
occasions she took students with her to attend annual meetings of NAFSA, the International Educators' Association. She was very instrumental
in working with students to form the Multicultural Friendship Society,
together with Zachariah Gaye, and was its sponsor during the organization's
formative years. Ms. Crossley wrote a winning application for a
$2000 NAFSA grant that was used to help fund the first Multicultural
Celebration in the spring of 2001. In the fall of 2002, she moved
to western Pennsylvania with her husband and is continuing her education
in an On-line Course Sequence in Behavior Analysis and Therapy at
Southern Illinois University. 
George is from
Bucharest, Romania. He recently completed a Masters degree in
Marketing and Business Communication in the Faculty of Commerce at
the Academy of Economic Studies (AES), the most prestigious business
school in Romania, and is now pursuing an MBA at TSU. His Bachelor’s
degree, also from AES, was in marketing with a focus on tourism. He
has participated in research projects while at AES, including such
topics as “Bucharest National Theater” and “Ways to Stop Inflation
in Romania.” In addition, George maintains a keen interest in
computer science and its practical applications to the field of
marketing. He has also had practical work experience, including
interviewing for the Gallup Organization and serving as a travel
operator.
George made a goal of pursuing a career in international business.
He joined OIBP as Graduate Assistant in
September 2004, primarily responsible for maintaining the accounting
records and managing funds for grant expenditures under Title III
grant activities. Also for:
Zied
Guizani (2001-2002).
The first of three Tunisian grad assistants to enter the MBA program
at TSU, Zied Guizani received his Bachelor's degree in Commerce
with a major in Marketing from the Institut Superieur de Gestion
in Tunis, Tunisia. In the summer of 2001 Zied began work as a graduate
assistant in OIBP and remained until he completed his MBA the following
summer. Zied represented OIBP at the Annual Conference of the Business
and International Education Program in Tampa, Florida in the fall
of 2001. He assisted OIBP as a Research Assistant for a short period
as well. Since leaving TSU, Zied has been employed by Comcast in
Nashville.
