been little systematic study of the nature of immigrant entrepreneurship in
Middle Tennessee. There is a distinct lack of information on the patterns of
entrepreneurship for different ethnic immigrant groups in Nashville, and the
constraints faced by each group in creating, operating, growing, and planning
for the success of their businesses.

This survey of immigrant entrepreneurs in Middle Tennessee represents a first step towards the collection and analysis of primary data containing such information.
