WORLD TRADE COUNCIL OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE
ESSAY COMPETITION

Mr. Mnif submitted an original 1000-word essay, addressing the assigned topic: “International Trade with the Middle East – Instrument of Peace or Weapon of War”.
The essay was judged by a committee of four using the following criteria: A. Career interests in relation to the topic, B. Knowledge of the topic, C. Expression of ideas in written form, and D. Academic Achievement.
The award will be presented at the World Trade Council’s Ports & Flags Night" dinner on Thursday, November 6, 2003. This is Middle Tennessee's premier international business event at the Loews’ Vanderbilt Hotel, attended by over 300 area international business executives.
In 2001 both winners were TSU students: Ms. Jackie Ojuka-Onedo won First Place and Ms. Nomumelelo Dlamini was awarded Second Place. In 2002, Pius Imafidon was the second place winner. TSU Students have won a prize in the essay competition for the third time in a row to score a hat trick. The World Trade Council is a membership-based organization that promotes international commerce in Middle Tennessee and is part of a network of chapters throughout North America.
