"Nashville Area Business and Economic Review" Publication

The College of Business, through its Office of Business and Economic Research, is pleased to present Nashville Area Business and Economic Review to the local business and the academic community.

The Spring 2005 issue of the Nashville Area Business and Economic Review focuses primarily on the globalization phenomenon now confronting the marketplace for goods and services.

In the first article, Soumen Ghosh addresses the realities of outsourcing and the extent of outsourcing among international businesses in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. A second article by Dharmendra Dhakal explains the globalization dilemma facing Nashville. Galen Hull, the author of our third article, focuses on capacity reference to a linkage between Tennessee State University and the University of Tunis -- El Mannar. The forth article, co-authored by Gerald Marquis, Renuka Kalra and Jiayun Chen, and the fifth article by Dr. Lewis Laska, addresses domestic concerns for Nashville. While Marquis, Kalra examine the economic impact of a Hope VI project in Nashville, Laska inform us of some of the legal ramification of short-term car rentals.
