Immigrant Community Assessment The Immigrant Community Assessment was a multi-university effort funded by the Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson county government. Led by Vanderbilt Universitys VIPPS (Vanderbilt Institute of Public Policy Studies) a four-university (Vanderbilt, TSU, Meharry, and Fisk) consortium has undertaken this task. As a part of this effort OBER in conjunction with the department of Sociology at TSU has undertaken a survey of service providers to the immigrant community of Davidson County. OBER compiled the list of service providers and conducting personal interviews of the service providers. Results from this survey played the important role in overall assessment of immigrant community.
