Privacy Issues
For your own security and safety, we recommend that you create your account and profile on a secure, private workstation. However, if you must create your profile on one of the library or campus computers, remember to clear the form after you create your account. Otherwise, you could become a victim of identity theft.
Although the Brown-Daniel Library will make every effort to protect our patrons' privacy, the federal USA Patriot Act (Public Law 107-56) authorizes federal agents to obtain patron borrowing records, while prohibiting library staff from informing the patron. Should you have any further questions, please contact the following government official:
Attorney General John Ashcroft
Department of Justice
