TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY USERS
WELCOME TO PROJECT ATHENA

Project Athena is a resource sharing network of Nashville area libraries providing virtual access to the vast book collections of the participant; Athena allows users to search the online catalogs and borrow books from the following libraries:

Through OCLC's SiteSearch software users may search each online catalog individually or search ALL member libraries simultaneously. One search will show holdings on any topic held at eight library collections. Now users at the locations above may borrow books and have them delivered to their libraries three times a week. This is a first for Tennessee.

HOW TO USE THE ATHENA PROJECT

At the Athena site users may review the homepages of participating libraries. Clicking on the START button will allow users to access the VIRTUAL CATALOG for simultaneous searches or list of libraries for individual searches. Searches can be bookmarked.

Once users locate the books needed, they should contact the Interlibrary Loan librarians, Mrs.Barbara Vanhooser or Mrs. Lynetta Alexander, and make their requests by completing interlibrary loan forms. Loan deliveries are made three times a week-- Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please call 963-5201 or 963-5217 regarding status of requests, or leave messages at 963-5205.
