School of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences

Greetings & Welcome to Tennessee State University's School of Agriculture & Consumer Sciences. TSU is an 1890 Land Grant University and as such it has programs in Agriculture relative to instruction, research and public service. The School of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences seeks to carry out the University's mandates in instruction, research and public service. Instruction is achieved through three academic departments: Agricultural Sciences, Family and Consumer Sciences, and Hospitality and Tourism Administration. The academic departments maintain a collaborative relationship with the research and extension programs. Research is federally funded and is administered through the Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Research (IAGER). Public service is carried out by the Cooperative Extension Program(CEP). 

The Degree programs of the School of Agriculture & Consumer Sciences are designed to provide both liberal & specialized education for students who seek to advance their knowledge and education through our programs of study.
