Welcome to TSU's

Language Laboratory

The Language Lab is located in the Humanities Building.  The lab's primary purpose is to serve both students and faculty as a media center for second language acquisition. In addition, the lab offers faculty and staff use of its technology to conduct classes and to work independently on language assignments.  It is customary to enter the lab and find students at work on their studies in Spanish, French, English, and even Chinese.

The Lab's Director, Patrice L. Gordon, M.P.I.A., works along with a dedicated team of student lab assistants and foreign language tutors to support the student body in everything from preparing for language placement exams to providing media duplication/distribution services in the various languages offered by the Department.

The lab offers CD software for workbook assignments, an iMac Apple computer lab for language coursework, and a state-of-the-art multimedia Mac Operating System to aid faculty in the teaching of foreign languages.
