Introduction

Tennessee State University undergraduate students whose research was conducted under the auspices of an IAgER-administered project are eligible for this award.

Nominations can be made by graduate students, faculty, researchers or, administrators. Self-nominations are allowed.

The Distinguished Undergraduate Student Award will be presented annually, when at least one nominee meets the requirements set by the Recognition and Awards Committee. If no applicant/nominee meets the requirements, the award will not be presented during that year.

There is no limitation on the number of times a person can win this award.

Award Process:

You should submit a completed application form and all required documentation, if applying yourself. If you are nominating another person, you should submit the completed nomination form with the following information:

• The nominee's name and position

• A brief description of the nominee's employment duties

• A description (no length limitation) of the research and/or service efforts for which the nominee is being nominated

Each nominee will be contacted to verify that he/she wants to participate in the award process. Those nominees declining to participate in the process will have their nominations withdrawn.

The Recognition and Awards Committee will verify the names and duties of the persons nominated. The Committee will also verify the accuracy of all information submitted. Multiple nominations for the same person will be pooled into one nomination.

Verified nominations will be forwarded to the External Review Panel for evaluation.
