Event Purpose

  1. Provide an opportunity for fellowship between students, faculty, alumni, and corporate partners.

  2. Annual recognition of outstanding students, faculty, alumni, and corporate partners.

  3. Fundraising event for the Student Pre-Engineering Readiness Fund (SPERF) where 100% of contributions raised from this event (less event operating expenses) will be immediately used by the University for College of Engineering summer programs.

Time: 11:30 am. – 1:30 p.m.

Recognition Awards:

Student Awards

  1. Gregory Kimbrough Student Service Award: Exceptional leadership and service to community and university.

  2. Outstanding Student Leader Award: Excellence in peer leadership.

  3. Resilience Student Award: Excellence in managing adverse experiences and recovering from challenges.

  4. Outstanding Graduate Student Award: Excellence in academics, leadership, research, and service to the College of Engineering.

Faculty Awards

  1. Ida McClain Fortitude Award: Exceptional commitment to students via education and mentorship.

  2. Most Outstanding Faculty Award: Excellence in research, publications, and student engagement.

Alumni Awards

  1. Think, Work, Serve Award: Excellence as former student, in current place of employment, and serves university.

  2. Altan Williams’ Infinite Value Award: Uplifts others through community service and values all aspects of life.

Deadline for award nominations is March 24, 2017.
