Cultural movies are hosted to allow an atmosphere for networking, awareness, and appreciation of individuals and students from different cultures through portrayal of movies from around the globe. Students analyze movie themes for cultural perceptions. Showcased movies include, Slumdog Millionaire, Our Family Wedding, Feel the Noise, Apocalypto.

Cultural Jams
Cultural Jams are multicultural events are held to promote cultural awareness and networking among students from different cultures and nations throughout the globe. These events involve food, dancing, games, music, and provide opportunities for engagement among students, faculty, and staff.

International Soccer Tournament & Community Family Day
Tennessee State University hosted its inaugural International Soccer Tournament consisting of 8 teams from Nashville International Cup, including TSU's first ever Soccer Club Team as part of the Cultural Appreciation Week in April of 2012. The event was held in TSU’s new Indoor Practice Facility. In addition to the Soccer Tournament, TSU held a community family day that consisted of International food, Merchandise, Easter Egg Hunt, Face Painting, and Pictures with the Easter Bunny.

The university community is provided opportunities to learn dances from various cultures, which have included Kurdish Group Dancing, Salsa, and popular pop culture dances. Participants of dance lessons have included students, faculty, upper level administrators, and event the president of the university.
Spring Cultural Celebrations are held in April every year. The most recent installment comprised a Fashion show as well as song and dance performances followed by a Taste of TSU (an opportunity to taste food) from around the globe.
