The University requirements for an associate degree are as follows:
- Completion of at least 60 semester hours of credit. Remedial and Developmental courses may not be applied to meeting graduation requirements. Students must complete the minimum number of hours as stated in the departmental Program of Study.
- A minimum quality point average of “C” (2.00).
- Completion of a minimum of 20 of the final 26 semester hours of course work in residence at TSU. Transfer hours in the final 26 hours must be approved in advance in writing by the head of the department and the dean of the school or college in which the degree will be awarded.
- Completion of specific course requirements as outlined in the student’s Program of Study. Substitutions must be approved in advance in writing by the head of the department and the dean of the school or college in which the degree is to be awarded.
