The Hospitality and Tourism Administration degree program, presently offered
through the School of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences, is scheduled to be
restructured. Over the next three years, the B.S. degree in Hospitality and
Tourism will be phased out as a free-standing degree program. Effective
2003, the Department will not admit any new majors, however, courses
required for presently enrolled sophomores, juniors, and seniors to graduate
with a degree in HTA, will be available through 2006. Courses in Hospitality
and Tourism will then be offered as a concentration under other majors.
These will be announced effective with the end of the three-year phase out
period. Students who have questions should consult the Department Head or
the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Presently enrolled HTA majors should continue to follow the catalog under
which they entered the HTA major.
