Current Responsibilities:

  • Assist Department Head
  • Assist with performing everyday tasks necessary for the efficient running of the department
  • Manage 5 grants with 10 subprojects and State account
  • Supervise secretaries & work study student
  • Train faculty and staff to use SIS (Student Information System) & Banner Sciquest
  • Make sure supplies and other materials needed for classroom and labs are available
  • Assist with the hiring of employees (staff)
  • Submit job posting through Banner System
  • Serve as liaison between Biology and other Departments and Divisions
  • Assist with problem solving between faculty, staff, students and departments
  • Perform payroll duties
  • Make sure bills are submitted for payment to accounts payable
  • Reconcile accounts for year-end closeout
