E-Mail: jrobinson@tnstate.edu Phone: (615) 963-5762 Course Description: Orientation is designed to inform all new students (both freshman and transfers) about the University, major policies and regulations, degree requirements, career opportunities, study skills and campus facilities. Special programs and speakers will also occur during the orientation class period. Orientation is where the future begins as a college student and the success of your college career. All students are required to obtain a username and password for mytsu so that you can receive messages about the course. Grading System: You will be graded on homework, quizzes, class participation and exams. You will receive points for attendance and participation, assignments, midterm and final exams Grading Scale: A: 90-100, B: 80-89, C: 70-79, D: 60-69, F: Below 60 Attendance: Attendance is required. Students should attend all class sessions in order to receive the maximum credit for the course. Conduct: Students entering college are responsible for developing into quality adults. Please remember, professionalism in reference to dressing is a major component in preparing students for professional careers. A dress code has not been implemented for the University; however, students should make wise choices in reference to dressing.
