Current Responsibilities
Work directly with the department head, faculty, staff and students.
Read and answer routine correspondence and data requests.
Respond to requests for program information from prospective students.
Contact all prospective majors each semester from information supplied by Office of Admissions and Records.
Assist in retention by contacting non-returning students to ascertain and assist with problems.
Input course schedules, enter permits, override course conflicts, open and close classes, and add/delete prerequisites in Orbiter.
Maintain financial records for the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, Early Learning Center, and Child Care Center.
Input and process personnel forms/contracts in PeopleAdmin.
Process travel requisitions, travel claims, and budget revisions.
Order supplies/equipment through SciQuest.
Process faculty workloads.
Post and distribute information for faculty, staff and students in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.
Prepare and maintain up-to-date list of majors; post Dean’s List and prepare certificates.
Submit senior standing forms for prospective graduates.
Register prospective graduates for the Academic Profile-Short Test (ETS)
Prepare and maintain an up-to-date spreadsheet of all Department of Family and Consumer Sciences’ alumni including current mailing address, phone number, position, place of employment, and matriculations.
Prepare and maintain an up-to-date alumni mailing list.
Prepare, and submit, monthly and semi-monthly time sheets.
Maintain attendance record for faculty and staff in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.
Maintain and develop personnel, financial, statistical and other important records.
Submit work request and movable property forms.
Serve as Key Operator for Xerox CopyCentre C35 for the Humphries Bldg. which includes submitting monthly usage report, ordering supplies, repairing operational problems, and contacting service representative.
Maintain departmental files.
