Questions? Tour Cancellations?

Duration: Campus visits are scheduled to last 1-1.5 hours. A campus visit will include an information session and a walking tour of the campus led by our Director of Campus Visits & Special Events and Tennessee State University Tiger Tour Guides.

Tours are conducted based on our tour schedule with the exception of Holidays, Testing periods, and other times the University is closed.

Attire: Please dress appropriately according to the weather.  The walking tour will cover a large portion of the campus and guests should wear comfortable attire and shoes.

RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED

Guided tours will be granted to prospective students that walk in only during designated tour times, if space permits, and will be contingent upon the availability of tour guides. Otherwise, visitors/groups without a scheduled visit will be provided a Visitors Guide to experience the campus on their own.

PLEASE NOTE: This tour does include a 20–30-minute overview session with a member of our Admissions Team. We suggest preparing accordingly with proper footwear and umbrellas in case of light rain. In the best interest of our on-campus community, staff, and potential students, tours will be modified to meet institution, state, and federal guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is required to wear protective face coverings on campus. If you do not have one, a mask will be provided for you upon entering the building.
Campus tours/events are subject to cancellation or modification due to inclement weather and/or COVID-19. You will be notified via email and text should a cancellation occur. Should the University close, all campus tours and events will be canceled.

For group tours, you must make your reservation at least 2 weeks before your desired tour date.  Please note that we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Late Policy: Be respectful of other guests.  If you are more than 15 minutes late, your visit could be cut short or canceled.  We will do our best to accommodate you by offering another scheduled campus tour time.

Inclement Weather: Walking tours WILL NOT be conducted in the case of inclement weather. We practice this policy in order to protect the safety and welfare of all campus visitors. The status of the tour will be updated at the scheduled time of the tour. The information session will be conducted for all visitors during this time.
