Winter break a gift for all

As the fall semester comes to an end and the holidays approaching, TSU students start to trickle off campus. Classes ended Friday, and now remaining students are studying for final exams, preparing for graduation and anticipating the long-awaited holiday break.

Juicy Campus sues TSU

JuicyCampus is working collaboratively with the Tennessee chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union to bring a lawsuit against TSU for a direct violation of the First Amendment rights of students. Matt Ivester, the Web site's founder and CEO, believes administrators' decision to ban access to the Web site disables the purpose of the open forum and violates students' freedom of speech, assembly and press.

TSU wins at State Capitol

Students from all across the state gathered together at the state capitol for the Tennessee Intercollegiate Student Legislation 39th general assembly. The four day event, allows students from different colleges around Tennessee to gather to mock the process of the State Legislature.

Keepin' It Real

For most of the season, the Big Blue Tigers starred down the possibility of a conference title, like any champion would, only to have it escape their gaze with one game remaining in the season. This caused disappointment in the eyes of many Big Blue's fans, and while it should not take away from the season this great team had, to many it did.

What We Think

Cara Anthony- Being surrounded by my family and friends, is truly the greatest gift I could receive this Christmas. There is nothing like eating a home cooked meal and watching a holiday movie with my family. Family is the greatest gift of all. Kevin Terrell- I want to continue to grow closer to God, have a good time with my family, and enjoy my break from classes.

Tigers drop conference opener to EIU

The Tigers dropped their second straight game on Thursday night against Eastern Illinois University, 71-61. The game was the conference opener for both teams as the Tigers dropped to 2-4 overall. EIU improved to 2-4 on the year, 1-0 in the OVC. Tyler Laser led the Panthers with 10 first half points as they opened with a 37-26 halftime lead.
